1. Looking back at the list of your positive characteristics and qualities, what do you feel and realize about it?
When I looked back on my list of positive characteristics, I felt happy because it was like I evaluated myself and realized the characteristics I possess. I realized that having those characteristics is maybe one thing that my friends like about me.

2. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
a. Given the following situations, how would you like to be treated by your teachers and schoolmates:
- when you have given wrong answers to the questions during recitation,
For my teacher, in case it happens to me, I hope he/she will correct me in a good way, for my schoolmates or classmates I hope that they will not laugh at me, but instead they can also correct me in a good manner or just keep quiet.
- when you are expressing your opinion during class or group discussion;
In this situation I would like my teacher and classmates to listen to me and if ever they want to say something on my opinion I will also listen to them.
- when you are giving suggestions during group work or presentation;
Here, I would like them to listen to my suggestion and let them analyze it if they will accept it or not.
- when you commit mistake;
When I commit mistake I would like them not to make fun of me, but instead tell what's my mistake and help me correct it.
- when you don’t like doing what they ask you to do and
I hope that they will listen to me and won't force me to do it.
- when they want to give you their comments or suggestions?
I would like them to give their comments or suggestions in a good manner, in such a way that they won't hurt my feelings.

b. Considering the given ideas on how to treat others with respect, what can you commit to yourself in terms dealing with the MCL community: teachers, students, employees, security, maintenance/janitors and canteen personnel?
I will treat them nicely and won't make fun of them.

If you will have one outstanding virtue, what would you want it to be? Why?

For me, the outstanding virtue that I should have is perseverance. Because if you apply this virtue in everything that you do, you will be able to finish your work with excellence.

Journal Entry #2

1. How was your first week of stay at MCL?

My first week at MCL was good. I had fun. I made new friends and got a chance to see my former classmates again.

2. Describe your professors. What are traits do you find positive in each one?

At first I thought our professors were strict, but as I met them, I noticed that they are not. I think they are jolly and nice people.

3. Describe your blockmates/section. What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of your section?

My blockmates are easy to get along with and funny people. We help each other, especially in our assignments. I think that's the strength of my blockmates, as for the weakness, as of now, I can't think of any weakness we have.

4. How do you find your courses? Which ones do you think are easy and which ones do you think are a little bit challenging? Why?

Right now, almost all of my courses are fine with me. I'm not yet having a hard time with them except DRAW021. I think this course is really challenging because I am not good in drawing. I have to improve my skills in order for me to be able to pass this course.

5. Do you have any adjustment you feel you are going through or must go through? What are they? Cite examples in terms in your academics, emotions, and social environment.

I think I have to practice drawing so that I won't have a hard time on DRAW021.

2. After you have processed your first few experiences at MCL, in what way this will help you achieve successful adjustment in college?

I think that my first few experiences here at MCL will help me adjust in my college life easily. These experiences will help me face the reality that I am no longer a high school student but instead a college student.
